For the GFN Global Summit 2026, we are creating a special day focused on GFN member food banks. These activities are designed specifically for GFN food banks and attendance is by invitation only. For everyone else, please refer to the regular agenda, which starts on the evening of Day 1.

Arrival and Welcome Reception

Food Banker arrival and registration, followed by an evening Reception to welcome GFN food bankers and close partners to the Summit. Please plan to arrive by early afternoon.

Food Bankers: Connect and Collaborate

Tuesday will focus on the GFN food banking community and its close partners, with time to connect with peers, meet colleagues, and discuss trends, challenges and innovations shaping food banking. The day will feature a mix of plenaries, breakouts and workshops, including a Town Hall for GFN food bankers and the official Opening Reception.

Tackling Today’s Food Challenges

Wednesday brings together a wide range of participants to share ideas, forge connections and spark action around food security and related issues. Through dynamic plenaries, breakouts and hands-on workshops, participants will explore the issues, ideas and innovations at the core of the food sector. The day will end with GFN Global Summit Trivia!

Creating a Stronger Food System

Thursday will feature Field Visits in and around Toronto, with opportunities to see food banks and distribution centers in action. There will be hands-on learning and future-focused sessions to create a shared vision, culminating with the GFN 20th Anniversary Dinner—a moment to recognize the impact of food bankers and their partners and to galvanize support for a stronger global food system for the future.
